Don’t Short Yourself Come Tax Season

Let me start off today’s blog by stating that I am not a tax professional. I do, however, get to interact with a slew of massage therapists across the country who deal with tax issues and write-offs for their massage business every year. With their help, I’ve compiled a list of a few things you might be eligible to write off as an independent massage therapist/business owner.

There are, of course, guidelines that you need to follow and I suggest, of course, that you speak to your accountant or tax professional to ensure you are following those guidelines and that you are deducting every possible expense the IRS will allow. It’s a business, so run it like one. If you are already doing this – KUDOS. If not, take the time to chat with a tax professional. Your wallet might be a little thicker next tax season as a result!
